Ten young designers from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design made their mark on the LAAM Fashion Week runway as The LFW Hot List returned for Season 2, offering a glimpse into the next generation of Pakistani fashion.

The second presentation of Day 1 shifted attention from established fashion houses to emerging designers, with ten capsule collections exploring individual ideas, cultural references and experimental approaches to design.

Presented in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), The LFW Hot List aims to narrow the gap between fashion education and the professional industry. For participating designers, the showcase offers more than runway exposure, providing an introduction to the demands of presenting collections at Fashion Week and an opportunity to bring their work before a wider industry audience.

This season’s lineup featured Sarah Kamran with The Insect of Madonna, Komal Asif with Mechanica, Hadeeqa Khalid with Dragons, Mahnoor Ijaz with Mol: The Daughter’s Worth, and Raonaq Rabnawaz Maken with Amused to Death.

Also presenting were Namra Fatima with Nocturnal Bloom, Muhammad Badar with Rustem e Punjab, Momina Kashif with Aks Dar Aks, Mohammed with Layers of Strength, and Zainab Fatima with The Anatomy of Discomfort.

The collections covered a wide range of subjects, from personal narratives to conceptual explorations, reflecting the different interests and perspectives shaping the work of young Pakistani designers.

While each collection approached fashion from a different starting point, the presentation offered a collective look at the ideas emerging from Pakistan’s design institutions.

At a time when gaining visibility remains an important step for young designers entering the industry, The LFW Hot List provides a platform for new talent to present their work beyond the academic setting.

For LAAM Fashion Week Season 2, the showcase placed emerging designers firmly on the Day 1 schedule, giving fashion’s next generation space alongside the country’s established names.
