The Golden Arches stepped into the fashion spotlight at IMA 2026, where students from Superior University’s School of Art & Design presented original collections inspired by McDonald’s Pakistan. Drawing on the brand’s iconic colours, symbols, products and place in popular culture, the young designers translated familiar McDonald’s cues into bold silhouettes, playful proportions and imaginative details.

The collaboration gave students the creative freedom to interpret the brand through their own design language while working on a real industry brief. McDonald’s Pakistan supported the young creatives throughout the project, giving them valuable exposure and an opportunity to present their talent on a professional runway. The result was not one fixed interpretation of the brand, but a collection of distinct perspectives shaped by the students’ own ideas and identities.

“The students’ commitment to translating the McDonald’s brand into original fashion concepts was impressive and inspiring,” said Raza Ali, Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald’s Pakistan. He added that such initiatives help “strengthen the connection between academia and industry while encouraging innovation and fresh thinking.” McDonald’s provided the inspiration and the platform, while the students gave its familiar icons a fresh fashion vocabulary.
